The business team was keen to explore what they could do outside of standard, and somewhat limiting, ABC article web pages. I was tasked with prototyping a mobile first layout that would demonstrate the potential to tell business news stories in a highly visual way that would appeal to younger audiences.

Core to the prototype:

• - Chapterised content to enable readers to pause their reading and come back.
• - Incorporate video and html5 animated content.
• - Bite sized snippets of content within a bigger story to help make complex topics more digestible.
• - An indicator to tell how much is left in a chapter.
• - Push to related articles.

Although we had a positive response from the team and with user testing, the project was not developed further. Graphics were repurposed for online and broadcast to tell the story of the royal commission into the banks. The 3D imagery is regularly reused for bank related news around the ABC network.
