World 2020 social media style guide
2017 - BBC World Service
My position on the BBC’s visual journalism team involved training and developing designers recruited for the World 2020 project, an ambitious project to grow the BBC’s international audience to 500million unique visitors weekly by 2022.
In the early stages of the project I developed a kit and social media style guide to help the designers get up and running quickly with brand familiarity and tools to get started. The blow video gives an overview of what I produced.

"I lead the Visual Journalism Online Design team.
I hired Alistair to help guide the creative output of our seven new Visual Journalism teams in London, Moscow, Cairo, Jakarta, Lagos, Nairobi and Delhi.
Alistair was responsible for establishing a clear design framework that allowed the global team to create engaging motion graphics for a diverse audience in 41 languages, he produced a visual style, animation templates and concise guidelines that were a huge success.
I found Alistair to be a pleasure to work with, he has a diverse background with positions in different parts of the BBC, producing and designing a variety of different content and experiences.
Alistair also represented the BBC in a presentation to leading designers and journalists at SND London 2017.
I have enjoyed seeing him develop his ability to handle complex, demanding design projects and build his knowledge of UX design methodologies utilised on projects such as the BBC Mundo timeline.
I would highly recommend Alistair - he is a likeable, skilled, motivated and hard working Designer that would embrace any Design challenge and deliver to an excellent level."
